We hear this question often! Although kids’ dexterity matures differently, a good rule of thumb is to allow your kids to start learning to brush their teeth on their own about the time they learn to tie their shoes. We encourage you to be extra diligent about cleanings while they are learning to brush on their own. We can help them find ways to reach spots that are tricky or often missed. At Park Crossing Dentistry in South Charlotte, we are here to help you help your kids!
September 10, 1984: Dr. Bateman opened the doors to his practice, "Dr. Richard Bateman, DDS", which is now Park Crossing Dentistry. Wow! It has been 35 years this week that our practice started.
"I could not have done this without a great staff and great patients! I have enjoyed every day being a dentist."
Now we have four dentists and 12 employees! Happy Anniversary Park Crossing Dentistry!
New research shows interesting links between low vitamin D levels, gum disease (periodontal disease) and diabetes. Both of these diseases are highly prevalent in America. Vitamin D deficiency would worsen this combination (of diabetes and periodontal disease) and this is important to know, particularly because a vitamin D deficiency is cheap and easy to correct.
Gum disease can damage soft tissue (gums) and the bone that holds your teeth. This causes tooth loss. So, take your vitamin D daily and see your Charlotte dentist office soon. Along with a vitamin D supplement, we can help reduce your risk of periodontal disease.
