Yes. The test is easy to take and typically it is best taken at one of your bi-yearly exams. Since it is hard to see some cancers, this new and reliable test can be performed to detect lesions before they become visible. It is called Vizilite. The patient swishes a solution for one minute then the dentist shines a special light on your gums, tongue and cheeks so he or she can determine if you have suspicious areas. We recommend a Vizilite test once a year.

Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush should be kept at least six feet away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.
We recommend that you brush your teeth three times a day. Many times it is hard to squeeze in that third time so make sure you at least brush before bedtime. Your saliva production slows down while you sleep so it does not protect your teeth as well at night. Flossing is recommended once a day.
