An Ounce of Prevention

Benjamin Franklin once said “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.  That is true for many things in life, and especially when it comes to your dental care. With such busy schedules in our daily lives, we eat and drink on the run as well as get to the end of the day and fall into bed at night without proper tooth care.  We think everything is okay since nothing hurts.  Most of us relate problems in our bodies with the pain we feel. When it comes to our teeth, however, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.  Most often by the time we feel the pain, there is a real issue that just won’t wait.  Seeing your hygienist at least two times a year can help to avoid painful and costly procedures later.  They have the right tools for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
